Rev. Heffner is available for speaking engagements at your church or fellowship. He has an exciting, inspiring message to share concerning the true depth of God's love for humanity and how this love can be experienced in your life and that of your family. His "near-death" episode in 1995, during which he was in a coma for three days, gave him a deeper understanding of the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Men of God have described Rev. Heffner as a "humble servant of the Lord". He is not interested in fame, riches or popularity - he speaks from the heart with a message that may offend some who are resisting the life God wants them to live. His single purpose is to bring people into a deeper meaningful relationship with Jesus.
Many years ago God gave Rev. Heffner a love and talent for photography and poetry. He is a published poet and photographer and desires to share these gifts with those who invite him to minister in their church or fellowship. One of his poems - Sent to Love Me - was recently put to music by a talented guitarist and musician; at its first performance, as the words spoke to their heart and soul, tears were seen in the eyes of many in the church .
Rev. Heffner's unique combination of photography and poetry in the message of love that he shares encourages those he ministers to. Seeing The Word in Creation - a multimedia presentation - combines the message of the scriptures with photos from around the world. Based upon his near-death experience he presents his poem The Tide of Darkness in a joyful expression of God's personal love for His children. Rev. Heffner is available for a one or three day period of ministry and has simple requests for those who call him to minister to them:
Transportation: He will drive to your church if it is within 250 miles of Salem Missouri, all he asks is the cost of gas be covered. If travel by Airplane is necessary a round-trip, coach class, ticket at the lowest possible cost to the church is all he requires.
Lodging: A comfy couch and a home-cooked meal in someone's home is all he needs. If the church decides to use a Motel it should be the least expensive in the area.
Stipend: Rev. Heffner is retired from the United States Air Force and receives a monthly check from the government based on his years of service and also receives Social Security, these meet his basic living needs. If the church or fellowship would like to bless him financially all he asks is that a free-will offering be taken. He also requests the opportunity to display 16"x20" prints from Seeing The Word in Creation or give a multimedia presentation of it using your church's Power Point equipment.
